In the heart of Bengaluru, two childhood friends, Naren Raj and Ashutosh Ananth, decided to take a stand against the rising tide of paper waste. What began as a shared concern evolved into an innovative enterprise committed to sustainability. Their brainchild, Rescript, is now reshaping the way India consumes stationery—by creating high-quality, recycled paper products that are good for the planet.

After completing their business degrees and experiencing the corporate world, both founders realized they wanted their work to serve a larger purpose. A simple idea—sustainable, plantable stationery—sparked their journey. Their first major order, a Women’s Day campaign for a corporate client, proved there was demand for eco-conscious office supplies.

How Rescript Is Redefining Sustainability

At its core, Rescript is about minimizing environmental damage while maintaining product quality. All of their offerings—copier paper, notebooks, journals, pens—are made from 100% post-consumer waste paper. Their manufacturing process skips chemical bleaching, reducing both water use and energy consumption.
