Join us for the 57th Annual Gujarati Mandal Garba & Dandiya Festival on October 5, 2024, at the Greater Columbus Convention Center! Celebrating over five decades of rich tradition, this flagship event of the Gujarati Mandal of Central Ohio (GMOCO) is the largest Garba & Dandiya festival in Ohio. Featuring the iconic Vatsala Patil and her group performing live, this evening promises to be filled with the energy, colors, and rhythms of Gujarat’s vibrant folk culture.
This year, experience something special with our five unique initiatives, including:
- Garba & Dandiya Workshop: Free dance lessons for all ages in the lead-up to the event.
- Cultural Ambassador Program: An opportunity for our members to invite non-Asian Indian friends and share in the festivities.
- Folk Dance Showcase: A curated performance of Garba and Raas dances.
- Junior Garba Jam: A dedicated, kid-friendly zone with instructors.
- Kanya Puja: Participate in a ceremony honoring feminine power on the first day of Navratri.
