Yesterday’s Shankar Mahadevan concert was a mixed experience. The initial lights and music were excessively loud, overshadowing the start. Shankar Mahadevan, renowned for effortlessly hitting high and low notes with mesmerizing clarity, didn’t quite meet the audience’s expectations. His incorporation of a western-style rock band dominated the performance, leaving little room for the quieter moments we had hoped to enjoy. While the energy and rock-and-roll vibe were undeniable, we missed the opportunity to fully appreciate his vocal brilliance.
