Shinrin-yoku: Nature Immersion for a Restful Mind

Nature Immersion for a Restful Mind is a series of Forest Bathing Walks held on either the 3rd Saturday of every month. These therapeutic walks are designed to support a restful mind by reducing stress, anxiety, and rumination (repetitive negative thoughts), and elevate your overall wellbeing. Rendlesham Forest is the perfect place to immerse yourself in nature. You’ll leave with a rested mind and feeling rejuvenated focused and calm.

What is Forest Bathing?
Forest Bathing, also known as shinrin-yoku, is a wellbeing practice that emerged from Japan in the 80s. These gentle sensory-immersive walks guided by a Certified Forest Bathing Guide invite participants to move gently and consciously through a series of nature-immersive moments. These moments support a deep connection to nature and enhance physical emotional and mental wellbeing including:
Lowers heart rate blood pressure and cortisol levels.
Reduces stress anxiety and rumination (repetitive negative thoughts)
Reduces inflammation and physical pain
Restores attention focus and concentration
Elevates mood
Strengthens immunity
