New poster of Rishab Shetty in ‘The Pride of Bharat: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’ unveiled

National Award-winning actor Rishab Shetty unveiled the first poster of his much-anticipated movie The Pride of Bharat: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj today (February 19).
The Kantara actor released the poster on the 395th birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, making the announcement even more special for history enthusiasts and cinema lovers alike. The film is set to release on January 21, 2027.
A Grand Tribute to the Warrior King
Touted as one of India’s grandest historical productions, The Pride of Bharat: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj aims to be a global tribute to the legendary Maratha ruler.
In an interview with Times of India, Rishab Shetty expressed his deep admiration for Shivaji Maharaj’s legacy and shared his excitement about portraying the iconic leader on the big screen.
“Shivaji’s life and legacy have always fascinated me, and there is a deep sense of pride in being associated with such a great historical figure. Opportunities like biopics come only once in a lifetime. As an actor and a performer, I feel that it’s an honor to bring his story to life on the big screen,” he said.

Apart from this epic biopic, Rishab Shetty will also be seen portraying Hanuman in Prasanth Varma’s Jai Hanuman, a sequel to the blockbuster superhero film HanuMan. Additionally, he is directing and starring in Kantara: Chapter 1, a prequel to his critically acclaimed Kantara, which is slated for release later this year.
