Marking 12 years of the Narendra Modi-led government, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has initiated a nationwide campaign to highlight the government’s accomplishments, reforms, and welfare programs. Under the theme ‘12 Saal Vishwas Ke, Vikas Ke, Jan-Kalyan Ke’ (12 Years: Of Trust, Development and Public Welfare), the campaign aims to emphasize inclusive growth, national development, and citizen welfare. The government has released specially curated booklets in multiple languages to provide a detailed account of its 12-year journey, focusing on policy decisions, infrastructure expansion, and social welfare initiatives.
These booklets showcase the government’s major achievements, including efforts in infrastructure development, social welfare programs, and initiatives aimed at nation-building. Analysts acknowledge that the Modi government’s actions over the past 12 years have significantly influenced India’s development trajectory. One of the booklets, “Rashtra Pratham” (Nation First), highlights key decisions and initiatives focusing on national security, strategic capabilities, and global positioning, including military achievements and welfare programs for citizens across various socio-economic backgrounds.
The booklet titled “Nation Building is the Mission” outlines the government’s vision for a modern, globally competitive India, highlighting achievements in areas such as the new economy, infrastructure development, technological advancements, and regional balance. Another booklet, “Sashaktikaran Se Samriddhi Tak” (From Empowerment to Prosperity), focuses on women-centric policies and programs, emphasizing initiatives to enhance women’s participation in education, entrepreneurship, governance, and workforce, promoting economic independence and leadership opportunities for women.
“Virasat Bhi, Vikas Bhi” (Heritage Alongside Development) underscores the government’s strategy of balancing modernization with the preservation of India’s cultural heritage. The campaign also emphasizes infrastructure-led growth through the booklet “Rashtra Nirman” (Nation Building), detailing the government’s infrastructure projects in sectors like roads, railways, energy, and digital connectivity. Additionally, the outreach material highlights the government’s commitment to public service, inclusive development, poverty alleviation, farmers’ welfare, and healthcare expansion under the vision of a “Healthy India, Strong India.”
