Brar’s and Trexo Robotics Unite to Help Kids Walk for the First Time

Brar’s Expands Its Legacy with a Transformative Partnership
Brar’s, a brand deeply rooted in family, tradition, and community, has taken a monumental step toward changing lives. The company has announced a groundbreaking partnership with Trexo Robotics, a pioneering company dedicated to helping children with mobility challenges walk for the first time.
Through this collaboration, Brar’s is donating two Trexo Plus devices to pediatric clinics in Vancouver and Toronto, granting children access to life-changing mobility technology. This initiative underscores Brar’s unwavering commitment to giving back to the community that has supported its journey for over 35 years.
Trexo Robotics: Innovation Born from Personal Experience
Trexo Robotics was co-founded by Manmeet Maggu and Rahul Udasi, driven by a deeply personal mission. Manmeet’s nephew, Praneit, was diagnosed with cerebral palsy, a condition that made walking impossible for him. Determined to change that reality, Manmeet and Rahul developed the first-ever Trexo Home device, enabling children with cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, spina bifida, Rett syndrome, and other mobility challenges to take their first steps.
More than just a robotic tool, Trexo devices empower children by giving them greater independence, improving their overall health, and allowing them to experience the world in a completely new way.
A Partnership Rooted in Innovation and Impact
The collaboration between Brar’s and Trexo Robotics was sparked at the 2024 Mississauga Board of Trade (MBOT) Awards, where Trexo Robotics was recognized as Best Innovative and Tech Company of the Year. At the same event, Kiran Mann, CEO of Brar’s, was nominated for Businesswoman of the Year.
Following this inspiring encounter, both organizations met to explore ways to create a meaningful impact. This discussion led to Brar’s commitment to donate two Trexo Plus devices to high-demand, underserved clinics, providing children with much-needed mobility support.
To date, Trexo devices have enabled children to take over 110 million steps, a testament to their transformative impact.
Brar’s Commitment to Giving Back
Brar’s Owner & Founder, Dial Pabla, expressed immense pride in supporting Trexo’s mission:
“At Brar’s, we believe in giving back to the community that has embraced us for decades. Supporting Trexo means providing children with life-changing mobility solutions, and we hope these devices bring joy and independence to families in need.”
Echoing this sentiment, Manmeet Maggu, Co-Founder & CEO of Trexo Robotics, shared his excitement about the partnership:
“This collaboration is incredibly special because it unites two brands built on resilience, innovation, and family values. Watching my nephew take his first steps with Trexo was one of the proudest moments of my life. With Brar’s support, we are making that dream a reality for more children.”
Brar’s: A Legacy of Tradition, Growth, and Community
Founded in 1990 by Dial Pabla, an immigrant to Canada, Brar’s began as a small samosa and sweets shop in Etobicoke and has since grown into a beloved household name in South Asian cuisine. As Brar’s celebrates 35 years of tradition, it continues to uphold its values of hard work, perseverance, and generosity by making a tangible difference in the lives of those who need it most.
This partnership with Trexo Robotics is not just a charitable initiative—it is a reflection of Brar’s deep-seated belief in fostering hope, innovation, and progress for the next generation.
