Dr. Satheesh Kathula Receives Inspirational Award from RAYWA Foundation for Exceptional Contributions

Dr. Satheesh Kathula, President of the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (AAPI), was honored with the Inspirational Award by the Raising Awareness of Youth with Autism (RAYWA) Foundation. The award ceremony took place on December 14, 2024, at the prestigious Pierre Hotel by Taj in New York City.

Dr. Kathula, a board-certified hematologist and oncologist based in Dayton, Ohio, has been practicing medicine for over two decades. In his acceptance speech, he expressed humility and gratitude, stating, “I am truly humbled to receive this Inspirational Award alongside several other remarkable individuals. This really inspires not only me but the people who are actually serving the community and society at large.”

The RAYWA Foundation is dedicated to supporting individuals with autism and raising awareness about neurodiversity. The event celebrated individuals who have made extraordinary contributions across diverse fields, embodying resilience, leadership, and compassion. The gala featured inspiring speakers, live entertainment, and a silent auction, culminating in the launch of the Roshni Inspirational coffee table book.

Dr. Kathula’s commitment to healthcare extends beyond his clinical practice. He has actively supported various nonprofit organizations and held multiple leadership roles within AAPI, including Regional Director, Board of Trustees member, and national Treasurer, Secretary, and Vice President. He assumed the presidency of AAPI in July 2024.

Emphasizing the importance of continuous learning, Dr. Kathula recently earned a certificate from Stanford University in Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare and graduated from Harvard University’s Global Healthcare Leaders Program in May 2024.

The RAYWA Foundation, led by Mani Kamboj and Dr. Rashmi Sharma, has been instrumental in supporting individuals with autism and promoting neurodiversity. Their efforts over the past 25 years have significantly contributed to raising awareness and honoring those who inspire others in their respective fields.

Dr. Kathula’s recognition by the RAYWA Foundation underscores his dedication to healthcare, continuous learning, and community service, inspiring others to contribute positively to society.
