This groundbreaking innovation is poised to revolutionize daily payments for NRIs by eliminating the necessity to register an Indian mobile number with their NRE/NRO accounts, thus ushering in a new era of convenience.

Previously, NRIs encountered obstacles in utilizing UPI as they were required to link an Indian mobile number to their accounts, limiting their payment capabilities. With the unveiling of ICICI Bank’s latest offering, NRIs can now seamlessly leverage their international mobile numbers registered with their accounts for UPI transactions, fundamentally transforming their payment experience.

Streamlined Activation Process

Activating UPI on their international mobile numbers has been made a hassle-free process for customers, thanks to the intuitive interface of the iMobile Pay app. By simply verifying their mobile number, creating a UPI ID, and selecting their account number, NRIs can effortlessly initiate UPI transactions without the inconvenience of switching to an Indian mobile number.
