Highlighting the importance of collective efforts, the Indian Plumbing Association stated that PlumbexIndia 2026 demonstrated how partnerships among industry, government, and academia can promote sustainable water management solutions. The event, organized by the IPA, served as a significant platform for advancing discussions on water security, sanitation, and plumbing infrastructure.
Gurmit Singh Arora, the National President of the IPA, expressed that the event showcased a joint dedication from government, industry, and academia to establish resilient and sustainable water systems, particularly as India undergoes rapid urbanization. He emphasized that platforms like PlumbexIndia play a crucial role in translating concepts into practical solutions on the ground.
Chandra Shekhar Gupta echoed similar sentiments, noting that the event highlighted the necessity of integrating engineering expertise with policy guidance and execution. He emphasized that the active participation and the signing of an MoU with CaHO are pivotal in enhancing water and sanitation standards, especially in critical sectors like healthcare.
The event featured in-depth discussions on urban water management, groundwater sustainability, engineering-driven infrastructure, and design-focused innovation, with the involvement of experts from various sectors. Notable activities included the IPA Bathroom Challenge, a live technical competition supported by the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials and the International Water Sanitation and Hygiene Foundation, along with “Around the Drop,” a student-oriented design initiative in collaboration with Ethos Empowers.
The exhibition attracted over 15,000 visitors and 180 exhibitors, with international representation from countries such as the United States, Germany, Italy, Spain, Denmark, France, Israel, Japan, Taiwan, and China. The event received support from key government bodies like the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Ministry of Jal Shakti, and the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation.
