Iranian-Indian actress Elnaaz Norouzi recently shared a message emphasizing the distinction between faith and extremism. She highlighted that one can be Muslim while rejecting radical Islamism. Norouzi stressed the importance of calling out wrongdoing within communities, regardless of faith.
Humanity, according to Norouzi, transcends religious boundaries. She urged unity and emphasized the need to separate politics from religion to stand up for what is just. The actress, known for her role in “Mastiii 4,” expressed support for humanity over oppression.
In her Instagram post, Norouzi underlined that Iranians are not rebelling against a religion but against a regime that manipulates religion for control. She called for respect for all religions while advocating against oppressive rule.
Protests in Iran have been ongoing due to political repression and economic challenges, leading to international concerns over human rights violations. UN experts have condemned these violations during the protests that commenced on December 28, 2025, urging action to safeguard protesters’ rights and lives.
