Recognizing his significant contributions, the Union government has designated Birsa Munda’s birth anniversary on November 15 as Janjatiya Gaurav Divas, a day to honor tribal freedom fighters and celebrate the rich tribal heritage of India. Despite his untimely death in British custody at the age of 25 in 1900, Birsa Munda’s legacy endures, inspiring successive generations across the nation.
