The narrative follows Najeeb, portrayed by Sukumaran, and his remarkable journey filled with obstacles as he seeks a better life. Adapted from the novel ‘Aadujeevitham,’ a beloved bestseller in Malayalam literature translated into 12 languages, including foreign ones.
Penned by renowned author Benyamin, the novel recounts Najeeb’s true-life saga as he ventures abroad in the early 90s, leaving behind Kerala’s verdant landscapes.
Reflecting on his experience with ‘The Goat Life,’ Prithviraj Sukumaran remarked, “It’s been quite a journey, filled with challenges. After a decade of hard work and perseverance, we’re thrilled to finally share the outcome with our audience. From the days of the Covid pandemic to now, ‘The Goat Life’ has been an unexpected and unforgettable ride.
Working with Blessy Sir and witnessing maestros like AR Rahman breathe life into the music has been an honor. ‘The Goat Life’ holds deeper significance for us than just a movie; it’s a story that has deeply touched our hearts and will linger with us forever. We hope the audience feels the same.”
Produced by Visual Romance, ‘The Goat Life’ features an outstanding cast, including Hollywood actor Jimmy Jean-Louis, Indian stars like Amala Paul and KR Gokul, and acclaimed Arab actors Talib al Balushi and Rik Aby in pivotal roles. The film’s music, composed by Academy Award winner AR Rahman, and its sound design, overseen by Resul Pookutty, promise to elevate the cinematic experience to new heights.
