Prachi Dhabal Deb, a renowned cake artist from Pune, received the Royal Icing Art honor at Oxford University during the recent India Week in the UK. This recognition highlights her exceptional skill and creativity in the niche art of royal icing. Prachi was also celebrated by former British Labour Party politician Navin Shah CBE at the House of Commons.
She is the first cake artist to be honored at Oxford University, reflecting her significant contributions to the field. Prachi has made her mark with several world records certified by the World Book of Records, London. These include a 100 kg cake inspired by the Milan Cathedral and a 200 kg edible Indian-inspired palace.
Her accomplishments extend to creating the maximum number of vegan royal icing structures. Prachi has dedicated over a decade to promoting royal icing art, following her training in London. Her innovative work continues to inspire and set high standards in the culinary arts.
Prachi expressed her gratitude, saying, “It is an honor to be recognized for my work in a field I am passionate about. The journey has been challenging but immensely rewarding.” Based in Pimpri-Chinchwad, Pune, she remains a leading figure in cake artistry and innovation.
