SalamAir, an Omani low-cost airline, is set to begin operations from Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru. The airline will start flights on the Bengaluru-Muscat route from September 6, offering new international connectivity for travelers.

The inaugural flight will depart from Muscat International Airport at 11:20 p.m. local time, arriving in Bengaluru at 4:15 a.m. The return flight from Bengaluru is scheduled to start on September 7, departing at 5:10 a.m. and reaching Muscat at 7:10 a.m. SalamAir will operate these flights twice a week on Saturdays and Mondays from Bengaluru and on Fridays and Sundays from Muscat.

The airline will utilize the Airbus A320 for this route, marking a significant addition to the international flight options from Bengaluru. Recently, SalamAir also announced new services to New Delhi and Chennai, starting flights in July.

Additionally, Air India is introducing new international routes from Bengaluru, including a non-stop service to London Gatwick beginning August 18. Air India Express also commenced flights to Abu Dhabi on July 23.
