The United Arab Emirates is bracing for vibrant celebrations of International Yoga Day, themed ‘Yoga for Women Empowerment’, from June 21st to 29th. Events across Dubai, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, and Abu Dhabi will highlight the ancient practice’s benefits, drawing participation from diverse nationalities.

Dubai’s World Trade Centre will host a major session with an expected 4,000 attendees, organized by the Indian mission. Concurrently, the Art of Living and the International Association of Human Values will conduct yoga events focusing on sustainability. In Sharjah, over 5,000 participants are anticipated at Skyline University College for a community-driven yoga event, while Ras Al Khaimah will host sessions in collaboration with the Indian People’s Forum and Samanvaya.

Abu Dhabi will feature events at ADNEC and the Louvre Museum, emphasizing widespread community participation in yoga. Additionally, the Arab Region Yoga Instructors Council (ARYIC) is supporting multiple events across the UAE, promoting yoga’s practice and principles in underrepresented communities.
