Gandhinagar, June 9 (IANS) Gujarat has set an ambitious target to extend the concept of ‘Atmanirbhar’ (self-reliant) panchayats to all its more than 14,000 local bodies, with state and Union government officials calling for greater efforts to generate independent revenue sources and reduce dependence on government grants.
