The Global Organization of People of Indian Origin (GOPIO) Connecticut chapter recently hosted a special networking event to welcome new Indian-origin students at the University of Connecticut (UConn). The event, organized with the aim of building community connections and offering guidance, allowed students to interact with GOPIO-CT members and established professionals from the Indian diaspora in Connecticut.
The event featured discussions on navigating academic life, cultural integration, and career opportunities in the U.S. It also provided a platform for students to ask questions about life as Indian-origin individuals in the U.S. and offered mentorship opportunities to help them thrive in their new environment.
