India House, a well-known community center in Houston, has launched a Citizenship Center to support Green Card holders in their journey toward U.S. citizenship. This new initiative aims to provide comprehensive assistance, ensuring a smoother and more informed naturalization process for immigrants.

A Step Toward Citizenship

For many immigrants, becoming a U.S. citizen can be a complex process involving paperwork, interviews, and legal formalities. The newly established India House Citizenship Center is designed to bridge this gap by offering guidance, resources, and support to lawful permanent residents who aspire to obtain U.S. citizenship.

Services Offered by the Citizenship Center

The Citizenship Center at India House provides a range of services, including:

  • Citizenship Eligibility Assessment – Understanding the requirements for naturalization.
  • Application Assistance – Help with completing and submitting Form N-400 (Application for Naturalization).
  • Interview & Civics Test Preparation – Training and resources to prepare for the citizenship test and interview.
  • Legal Guidance – Connecting applicants with immigration attorneys for expert advice.

Why This Initiative Matters

With thousands of Green Card holders in the Houston area, India House’s new initiative will play a crucial role in empowering immigrants by giving them access to essential resources for naturalization. By reducing barriers and streamlining the citizenship process, the center ensures that more individuals can fully participate in American civic life.

How to Get Involved

Green Card holders interested in availing these services can visit India House or reach out to their Citizenship Center for more details on eligibility and appointment scheduling.

This initiative is a significant step toward community empowerment, making the dream of U.S. citizenship more accessible for many immigrants.
