Get ready for a big celebration! The Global Organization of People of Indian Origin (GOPIO) International is gearing up to mark its 35th Anniversary with the GOPIO Convention 2024. The event, happening from April 26-28, 2024, will be hosted by GOPIO International in collaboration with its chapters in the New York area and other community organizations. It’s all going down at the Royal Albert Palace in Fords, New Jersey.
GOPIO International, born in New York in 1989, has been dedicated to serving the 4.5 million strong Indian American community and the broader 35 million global Indian community for 35 years. The Convention comes at a perfect time, focusing on “India’s Present and the Future and what role the Diaspora Indians can play in helping to realize this desirable future.”
The theme of the Convention is catchy: “Opportunities for Diaspora Indians in India’s Big Manifest Future.”
What’s on the agenda? Well, there are six major conference sessions planned, covering crucial aspects of the Indian Diaspora’s role in shaping India’s future. These sessions will delve into topics like Diaspora Youth and Young Achievers, highlighting their potential contributions to India’s future and how GOPIO can help them get involved.
There’ll also be discussions on Diaspora Women and their Growing Contributions in Various Sectors, Technologies and AI, GOPIO Chamber of Commerce and Industry, India’s emergence as an alternate market hub, and Medical and Health Issues.
But that’s not all! There’s a second track of conference sessions covering topics such as Diaspora Seniors Aging Gracefully, Diaspora Literature, and Diaspora Arts and Artists.
