Biker is one of the most anticipated Telugu releases of early 2026, and it arrives with good reason. Starring the ever-dependable Sharwanand alongside the legendary Rajasekhar, this sports drama marks a bold new chapter for Telugu cinema by bringing Motocross Racing to the big screen for the very first time. Directed by Abhilash Reddy and featuring Malavika Nair as the female lead, Biker promises high-octane racing action wrapped in a deeply personal father-son story. With Sharwanand coming off the success of Nari Nari Naduma Murari and Rajasekhar making a highly anticipated return to a powerful lead role, all eyes are on this one. Does Biker cross the finish line in style? Read our full review to find out.

Biker arrives as a breath of fresh air in Telugu cinema — a first-of-its-kind Motocross Racing drama that pairs thundering race sequences with a deeply moving father-son emotional journey. Rajasekhar delivers a commanding comeback performance while Sharwanand’s jaw-dropping physical transformation and heartfelt portrayal remind audiences why he is one of Telugu cinema’s finest. A few predictable plot points aside, Biker is a wholesome, high-octane ride that leaves you emotionally satisfied.

Director: Abhilash Reddy
Language: Telugu
Genre: Sports Drama, Action, Family Entertainer
Runtime: 2 Hours 35 Minutes
Release Date: April 3, 2026
Certificate: UA

The Plot: A Father’s Dream, A Son’s Redemption

Bullet Sunil (Rajasekhar) is a pioneering Motocross Racing champion who introduced the sport to the country before it was even on the radar. His biggest dream is to see his son Vicky (Sharwanand) carry that legacy to the international stage. What follows is a layered story of ambition, a secret marriage to Ananya (Malavika Nair), an unexpected crisis that separates father and son from the sport they love — and ultimately, a powerful journey back to the racing track together.

At its heart, Biker is not just about racing. It is about a father’s unwavering belief in his son and a son’s burning desire to make things right.

Performances

Sharwanand goes all in for this role — and it shows. Losing an incredible 23 kilograms for the part, his physical transformation is visible in every frame. He brings sincerity and quiet intensity to Vicky’s arc, making every emotional beat feel completely earned. His on-screen chemistry with Rajasekhar is the soul of the film.

Rajasekhar is the undisputed star of Biker. Playing Bullet Sunil, he commands the screen with old-school authority, emotional depth, and a presence that elevates every scene around him. This is the kind of role that reminds audiences exactly why Rajasekhar is a legend — and his comeback here is everything fans hoped for.

Malavika Nair brings warmth and grace to her role as Ananya. Atul Kulkarni cuts an impressively stylish figure as the antagonist, and Brahmaji adds reliable charm in a well-placed supporting role.

Technical Craft

Ghibran’s background score is one of the biggest highlights of the film, swelling at precisely the right moments to amplify both the emotional drama and the racing action. The cinematography is stunning — dynamic, immersive, and particularly spectacular during the race sequences. The editing keeps the narrative brisk and engaging across the film’s runtime, and the action choreography, especially the Motocross sequences, sets a new benchmark for Telugu sports cinema.

Strengths & Weaknesses

Strengths

  • Rajasekhar’s powerful, scene-stealing comeback performance
  • Sharwanand’s remarkable physical transformation and emotional sincerity
  • First-ever Motocross Racing film in Telugu cinema — a genuinely fresh concept
  • Ghibran’s outstanding background score
  • Thrilling, beautifully shot climax race sequence
  • Warm father-son emotional core that stays with you long after the credits

Weaknesses

  • Conflict track feels slightly forced and could have been stronger
  • The core sports-drama template follows a familiar trajectory
  • Sharwanand’s emotional range feels slightly underutilised at times

Final Verdict: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4/5

Biker is a film with a big heart and the courage to chart new territory in Telugu cinema. Director Abhilash Reddy delivers a sports drama that works equally well as an emotional family entertainer, anchored by Rajasekhar’s finest performance in years and Sharwanand’s total dedication to the craft. The climax race sequence alone is worth the price of a ticket. If you enjoy films that combine genuine emotion with edge-of-the-seat action, Biker is a race you absolutely should not miss.

Telugu cinema’s boldest sporting adventure, powered by heart, horsepower, and outstanding performances.
