Founded in 1984 by East Village authors, artists, and activists Sharon Gannon and David Life, Jivamukti Yoga is rooted in the mission of compassion in action, achieved through spiritual study and various practices. As one of the nine recognized methods of Hatha yoga taught worldwide, Jivamukti Yoga boasts over 25,000 practitioners and thousands of teachers globally. It offers premier training, setting the standard for teaching yoga in the West.
