Few Bollywood franchises have held audiences as tightly as Drishyam. In Drishyam 3: The Conclusion, Ajay Devgn returns as Vijay Salgaonkar for what is billed as the final chapter. A new, relentless police officer played by Jaideep Ahlawat arrives to break the family man who has outwitted the system before. Directed by Abhishek Pathak, this is an original Hindi story, not a remake of the Malayalam film. Here is our full Drishyam 3 review, covering the story, performances, technical aspects, strengths, weaknesses and final verdict.

Drishyam 3: The Conclusion is a tense, well-built finale that keeps you hooked from the first scene to the last. Ajay Devgn is superb as Vijay Salgaonkar, saying a lot with very little. Jaideep Ahlawat matches him as the swaggering new cop, and their face-off is the high point of the film. The screenplay is full of twists and reversals, and it works because it keeps you guessing about whether the police are really ahead of Vijay this time. A sequence involving religion is a standout, and the film also asks whether Vijay’s kindness toward his community is genuine or strategic. Tabu, Rajat Kapoor, Shriya Saran and Kamlesh Sawant add depth and familiarity.

Plot Summary

A new police officer, Rajveer Tomar, arrives with a single mission: to succeed where every officer before him has failed and finally bring Vijay Salgaonkar to his knees. Rajveer is convinced he holds fresh evidence that can break Vijay’s carefully built defence, and he believes the system must never stop being feared.

Vijay, however, has survived this game before. As the net tightens around his family, the film keeps asking the same gripping question: are the cops truly ahead this time, or is Vijay still one step ahead of them all?

Performances

Ajay Devgn as Vijay Salgaonkar

Ajay Devgn is the heart and soul of Drishyam 3. He lets his eyes do the talking and spends much of the film in quiet, brooding intensity. His natural warmth makes Vijay easy to empathise with, even when you question his choices, and he makes you understand why this man believes he is doing what he must. It is also a generous performance, as he gives his co-stars room and still commands every frame.

Jaideep Ahlawat as Rajveer Tomar

Jaideep Ahlawat is terrific as the relentless officer. With sharp one-liners, a permanent cigarette and plenty of swagger, he brings a magnetic energy to the screen. His confrontation scenes with Ajay Devgn are among the most gripping stretches of the film and a treat for fans of both actors.

Tabu as Meera Deshmukh

Tabu brings the restraint and emotional gravity the film needs. She never overplays a moment, and her quiet intensity adds to the tension in every scene she appears in.

Rajat Kapoor as Mahesh Deshmukh

Rajat Kapoor is wonderfully understated. He grounds the drama with a measured, believable performance and quietly strengthens the film’s suspense.

Shriya Saran as Nandini Salgaonkar

Shriya Saran returns as the anchor of the Salgaonkar household. She brings familiarity and warmth to the family at the centre of the story, which keeps the audience invested in what is at stake.

Ishita Dutta as Anju Salgaonkar

Ishita Dutta adds sincerity and emotional weight to her role. Her presence is a reminder of how much the family has been through and how much they stand to lose.

Mrunal Jadhav as Anu Salgaonkar

Mrunal Jadhav delivers a natural, heartfelt performance. She blends effortlessly into the family dynamic and adds to the film’s emotional core.

Kamlesh Sawant as Inspector Gaitonde

Kamlesh Sawant remains the franchise’s dependable constant. He gets some of the film’s best lines and delivers them with perfect comic and dramatic timing.

Saurabh Shukla as Murad Ali

Saurabh Shukla brings his trademark charm and presence to the film. His role adds another interesting layer to the franchise’s world.

Technical Analysis

Direction

Abhishek Pathak directs with confidence and a clear understanding of what makes a Drishyam film work. The slow, steady build-up keeps the tension rising, and he balances family drama, mind games and thrills with skill. The original Hindi screenplay gives the franchise a worthy finale.

Cinematography

Sudhir K. Chaudhary’s cinematography supports the film’s tense, brooding mood. The visuals keep the focus on the characters and their expressions, which suits a thriller built on silent stare-downs and psychological duels.

Music and Score

Ravi Basrur, Rochak Kohli and Karm provide the music. The background score adds punch to the film’s high-tension moments and keeps the suspense alive.
