About the event
Enhanced Content:
Come experience the magic of dance and music amidst the serene landscapes of central Idaho at the Salmon Wild River Camp. Led by an eclectic group of Dances of Universal Peace leaders hailing from Idaho, Montana, and beyond, this four-day retreat delves into the rich tapestry of spiritual traditions worldwide through the communal art of circle dancing.
Upcoming Events:
- Join us for an enchanting event in Lava Hot Springs at the close of July and in Hamilton, Montana, in September. Explore our profile for more details.
Food and Accommodation:
At the camp, we embrace a communal spirit and do not provide food or lodging. However, you can easily access restaurants, grocery stores, and motels a short distance from our dance venue. Camping is a popular choice, with ample space near the tents. Remember to bring your camping essentials and kitchen items. Water resources are available, and our electricity source is solar-powered (additional electric plugins are conveniently located in the nearby ranch shop).
Affordable Experience:
Yes, the camp is indeed priced at a modest fifty dollars. Our focus is not on financial gain but on fostering a sense of togetherness and connection. Your contribution covers the event costs, and your personal expenses for lodging, camping, and food are your responsibility — your presence is invaluable to us!
Experience and Community:
No prior dance experience or a partner is necessary to join us. Engaging in dance with our vibrant group is like becoming part of a close-knit tribe. Despite being strangers initially, participants quickly form lasting bonds akin to siblings. The camp is orchestrated by seasoned leaders with decades of experience, guiding you seamlessly from solitude to a sense of belonging. Embrace the essence of unity within you as we move together to simple melodies and ancient wisdom. Dress comfortably for the occasion!
