The teaser for JioHotstar’s Kanneda is out! Starring Parmish Verma as Nimma, the series explores his journey in Canada after fleeing the 1984 anti-Sikh riots. Produced by Jar Pictures and directed by Chandan Arora, Kanneda is set to premiere on JioHotstar on March 21, 2025.

A Glimpse into Nimma’s Journey

The teaser introduces Nimma, a young man escaping the horrors of the 1984 riots in search of a new life in Canada. However, upon arrival, he is met with harsh realities—an unforgiving system, societal rejection, and the relentless struggle for survival. The series follows Nimma as he navigates these challenges, capturing the essence of an immigrant’s battle for identity and belonging.

Ajay G. Rai, the producer of Kanneda, highlights the gripping themes of power, struggle, and ambition that define Nimma’s story.
