Yug Kaushal (Pavail Gulati) is embarrassed by his small-town roots and constantly frustrated by his parents, Sahil and Sangeeta (Ashutosh Rana and Sheeba Chadha), who argue all the time. In a heated moment, he suggests they take a ‘modern’ approach and simply move on—just as his generation does. To his shock, they take his advice seriously and decide to separate. While Ashutosh Rana fits well into his fatherly role, his qawwali-loving character’s musical performances feel somewhat forced. Sheeba Chadha, as always, delivers convincingly. Pavail Gulati handles his role well, though Isha Talwar’s character lacks depth and impact.
