12 people, including five Indian nationals, sustained injuries in Abu Dhabi on Friday when missile debris fell following a successful interception by UAE’s air defense systems in the Ajban area. Authorities confirmed minor to moderate injuries for six Nepali individuals, five Indian individuals, and one Nepali individual with a major injury. Earlier, authorities responded to the falling debris incident in Ajban after the air defense systems’ successful interception. UAE’s Ministry of Defence reported engaging 18 ballistic missiles, four cruise missiles, and 47 Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) from Iran on Friday. The statement revealed that UAE’s air defenses have intercepted a total of 475 ballistic missiles, 23 cruise missiles, and 2085 UAVs since the onset of Iranian attacks.
The attacks led to the martyrdom of two armed forces members and a Moroccan civilian contracted by the Armed Forces. Additionally, fatalities included individuals from Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Palestine, and India. A total of 203 people sustained injuries of varying degrees, representing a diverse range of nationalities from countries like UAE, Egypt, Sudan, India, and more. UAE’s Ministry of Defence emphasized readiness to counter threats and protect the nation’s security, sovereignty, and interests.
