A tragic incident unfolded during a wedding procession in northwest Delhi, resulting in the death of a 17-year-old boy and injuries to another individual. The clash between two groups of youths turned violent late on Friday night in the Rani Bagh area. The altercation began with a quarrel among boys and escalated into a physical confrontation, leading to the fatal stabbing of Nikhil Yadav and injuries to Sunny.
Nikhil Yadav, aged 17 and a half, was attending the wedding with his friends when the altercation took a deadly turn. He suffered multiple stab wounds during the confrontation and succumbed to his injuries. Another youth, Sunny, was also attacked and is currently receiving medical treatment for stab injuries. The incident has left the families and friends of the victims in shock and grief.
Following the tragic event, the police swiftly responded, with senior officers and a crime team reaching the scene. CCTV footage was collected, and several individuals were detained for questioning to identify the assailants. The deceased and the injured youth, both residents of Rohini’s Naharpur area, were caught in the clash that arose from a dispute between the groups attending the wedding.
The clash reportedly originated from a disagreement over the choice of songs played by the DJ at the wedding. Seven individuals, including minors, have been detained in connection with the incident. Police are conducting a thorough investigation to piece together the events leading to the violence and apprehend all those responsible for the tragic outcome.
