The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Punjab criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress for trying to deceive the public regarding a forensic report on a doctored video involving AAP leader Atishi. Punjab AAP President Aman Arora emphasized that the issue has moved beyond politics and now challenges a court’s decision based on forensic evidence.
Arora clarified that the court, after reviewing reports from the state Forensic Science Laboratory, confirmed the video manipulation and absence of the alleged derogatory word in the original audio. Consequently, the court directed the removal and blocking of the video on social media platforms. “Questioning the court’s forensic findings is not a political matter; it’s a challenge to the legal system,” stated Arora.
In response to misleading information circulating on social media, Punjab Minister Laljit Singh Bhullar stressed that distorting facts cannot alter the court’s judgment based on forensic analysis. Bhullar criticized the involvement of religious sentiments in a controversy built on manipulated content, highlighting the importance of truth and integrity over political gains.
