AAP’s Rajya Sabha member Raghav Chadha dismissed accusations from party colleagues, labeling them as a coordinated attempt to stifle his voice in Parliament. Chadha, in a video response, highlighted the orchestrated nature of the allegations, emphasizing the repetitive and uniform language used against him. He expressed his decision to address the claims after initially choosing not to respond, citing the danger of falsehoods gaining credibility through repetition.
Chadha refuted the first allegation that he failed to stand during Opposition walkouts, challenging critics to review Parliament’s CCTV footage for verification. Dismissing the second accusation of refusing to sign an impeachment motion against the Chief Election Commissioner, he clarified that he was never approached by any AAP leader regarding such a request. Additionally, Chadha pointed out that several AAP MPs, including himself, did not sign the notice, questioning the singling out of his actions.
In response to the third allegation suggesting fear-driven behavior, Chadha denied the claim, emphasizing his focus on raising public concerns in Parliament. He highlighted his track record of addressing diverse issues such as GST, income tax, water issues in Punjab, and air pollution in Delhi, underscoring his commitment to constructive parliamentary engagement. Chadha expressed confidence in the truth prevailing and pledged to address all questions raised against him.
