Trinamool Congress general secretary Abhishek Banerjee criticized BJP candidate Shouvik Patra during a campaign event in Taldangra, Bankura district, West Bengal. Banerjee accused the BJP of fielding leaders rejected by his party and highlighted allegations against Patra, including a previous complaint filed against him.
Banerjee emphasized that the BJP has allegedly diverted funds meant for Bengal’s welfare schemes and criticized their choice of candidates. He expressed confidence in his party’s candidate, Falguni Singhababu, citing his organizational skills and commitment to the constituency.
Falguni Singhababu, a teacher by profession, won a by-election in Taldangra and has been nominated again by the Trinamool Congress. Banerjee assured development projects for Taldangra if his party wins, including plans for a bridge over the Shilavati river and a super-speciality hospital.
In the ongoing election, Falguni Singhababu of Trinamool is contesting against BJP’s Shouvik Patra, who is facing multiple allegations in Taldangra.
