India’s Abhishek Sharma and Ishan Kishan continue to hold the top two positions in the latest ICC Men’s T20I Player Rankings. South African batsman Connor Esterhuizen has shown significant progress, moving up to 39th place after an impressive performance in the recent T20I series against New Zealand. Esterhuizen scored 200 runs during the series and was named the Player of the Series, helping South Africa secure a 3-2 win.
Esterhuizen’s exceptional performance saw him score twice as many runs as any other player in the five-game series. Meanwhile, New Zealand’s Tim Robinson also made gains in the rankings, moving up two spots to tie for 32nd after scoring 81 runs against South Africa. England’s Jos Buttler climbed one place to eighth, while Tim Seifert of New Zealand dropped to ninth, the only changes in the top 20 rankings this week.
In the updated T20I bowler rankings, Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan maintains the top position. South African bowlers have made significant progress, with Gerald Coetzee jumping 36 spots to tie for 52nd place, Ottneil Baartman moving up 10 places to 56th, and George Linde rising six positions to tie for 62nd. New Zealand’s Zakary Foulkes also saw an improvement, moving up 11 spots to 70th place.
Zimbabwe’s Sikandar Raza continues to lead the T20I all-rounders list. Gerald Coetzee’s standout performance in the series against New Zealand helped him climb 14 spots to tie for 72nd place after taking eight wickets and scoring 18 runs.
