Actor Ashish Chowdhry fondly remembered his collaboration with the late legendary playback singer Asha Bhosle in the song “Na Marte Hum” from the album “Aap Ki Asha.” Sharing a heartfelt tribute on Instagram, Ashish posted a sweet picture of himself kissing Asha Bhosle on her cheek, expressing his gratitude for the opportunity to work with her.
Asha Bhosle, who passed away at the age of 92 in Mumbai, was recently admitted to Breach Candy Hospital due to extreme exhaustion and a chest infection. Her granddaughter, Zanai Bhosle, confirmed the news and requested privacy for the family during this difficult time. The last rites for Asha Bhosle will be conducted at Shivaji Park on Monday at 4:00 pm.
Known for her iconic contributions to the music industry, Asha Bhosle began her illustrious career with her first playback song in the 1943 Marathi drama “Majha Bal.” Over the years, she mesmerized audiences with timeless hits like “Chura Liya Hai Tumne Jo Dil Ko,” “Do Lafzon Ki Hai Dil Ki Kahani,” and “O Haseena Zulfonwale Jane Jahan.” Her remarkable talent was recognized with prestigious accolades, including the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 2000 and the Padma Vibhushan in 2008.
