Actress Malavika Mohanan, currently filming ‘Pocket Novel’ with director Thiagarajan Kumararaja, revealed her newfound affection for Mumbai. She expressed how a recent sunset boat ride in the city deepened her love for it. Mohanan shared her March experiences, highlighting her work on ‘Pocket Novel’ and the privilege of being directed by Kumararaja, whom she considers one of the finest filmmakers of their generation.

She detailed her time in Chennai for the film shoot, acknowledging the challenges of being away from home for an extended period. Mohanan reflected on the loneliness she faced, finding solace when her family visited. Exploring temples in Chennai and Mahabalipuram, savoring local cuisine, and the rare visit of her grandmother brought her comfort during their stay.

Returning to Mumbai after an extended absence, Mohanan embarked on a serene sunset boat ride that reignited her love for the city. The picturesque sky, healing ocean breeze, and calming waves combined to create a memorable evening that strengthened her bond with Mumbai.
