Adani Electricity has once again secured an A+ national ranking in the 14th ‘Annual Integrated Rating and Ranking of Power Distribution Utilities’ by the state-run Power Finance Corporation. This recognition underscores the company’s consistent performance in providing reliable power supply, maintaining low losses, and upholding strong financial discipline.
The company expressed gratitude for the recognition, stating that retaining the top national ranking signifies the trust placed in them by the people of Mumbai. Celebrating 100 years of service to the city, Adani Electricity emphasized its crucial role in powering homes, hospitals, and essential services reliably every day.
Adani Electricity’s billing efficiency remains impressively high at over 95%, with collection efficiency nearing 100%. The company’s robust financial discipline, including exceptional days-receivable performance, has been highlighted in the latest report.
The utility’s success lies in its sustained results driven by operational discipline, data analytics, and a focus on service reliability. Adani Electricity’s performance sets a benchmark for urban power distribution not only in Maharashtra but across India, as per the report.
The sector’s significant improvement nationally is evident, with rated power distribution utilities reporting a combined profit after tax of Rs 2,701 crore for FY25, marking the first profitable year on an accrual basis. This positive shift from a loss of Rs 27,022 crore in FY24 reflects the impact of reforms, financial discipline, and technology-driven operations.
