Adani Electricity and Adani Foundation’s Women CSR initiative, ‘Swabhimaan,’ in collaboration with Mahila Arthik Vikas Mahamandal (MAVIM), have announced that ‘Swateja Mart’ and ‘Swateja Kitchen’ have surpassed the Rs 1 crore revenue mark within a year. This success highlights the effectiveness of women-led entrepreneurship supported by strong public–private partnerships.
Aditi Tatkare, State Minister for Women and Child Development, and Rajalakshmi Shah (IAS), Managing Director of MAVIM, visited Swateja Mart. Tatkare interacted with women entrepreneurs, inaugurated ‘Swateja Kitchen,’ and placed an online order through Swiggy. She praised the integrated processes and the assistance provided by Adani Foundation and MAVIM, while distributing cheques to women beneficiaries who completed significant orders successfully.
Tatkare mentioned, “Swateja Mart and Swateja Cloud Kitchen are exemplary projects showcasing the efforts of organizations like Adani Electricity, Adani Foundation, and MAVIM in promoting women empowerment, creating valuable livelihood opportunities, and fostering financial independence.” Implemented under Swabhimaan in partnership with MAVIM and BMC, the project has empowered more than 380 women Self Help Groups, benefiting over 4,500 women through skill training, savings initiatives, and access to institutional credit.
Swateja Mart and Swateja Cloud Kitchen offer sustainable market connections through stalls, weekly markets, corporate outlets, online platforms, and food delivery channels, collectively generating over Rs 1 crore in business. An Adani Electricity spokesperson stated, “This milestone highlights the impact of public–private collaborations in driving women-led growth. We are delighted to work with MAVIM and local authorities to establish scalable models promoting financial independence and social empowerment.” An Adani Foundation spokesperson emphasized that “beyond figures, this achievement signifies the confidence, resilience, and economic empowerment of women.”
