The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, inaugurated a VR training center for medical and nursing education. This initiative marks a move towards incorporating immersive technologies into healthcare learning. The facility, established at the SET Facility of AIIMS in partnership with MediSim VR, will provide simulation-based training for students and healthcare professionals.

This collaboration aims to explore the use of AI-enabled VR solutions in medical curricula. It will focus on assessing the impact of these technologies on skill development, evaluation, and training standardization. The long-term objective is to integrate such innovative approaches into mainstream education.

AIIMS, known for its excellence in medical education and research in India, is poised to set new standards for the adoption of advanced learning methods in the healthcare sector. The institution’s Director, M. Srinivas, emphasized the importance of embracing cutting-edge technologies in medical teaching and training to elevate the country’s healthcare standards.
