Air India to Launch Daily Non-Stop Flights from Delhi to Tokyo Haneda from June 15, 2025

Air India is all set to strengthen air connectivity between India and Japan by launching daily non-stop flights from Delhi to Tokyo Haneda Airport, starting June 15, 2025. This strategic move is aimed at catering to the growing travel demand between the two nations.

Delhi to Tokyo: Now Daily, Faster, and More Convenient
Currently operating four times a week, Air India will now upgrade its Delhi-Tokyo service to daily flights. The enhanced frequency will offer greater flexibility and convenience for business travelers, tourists, and families traveling between India and Japan.

The flights will be operated using Air India’s Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft, ensuring a comfortable and premium travel experience.

In March 2025, Air India transitioned its Tokyo operations from Narita International Airport to Haneda Airport, located just 18 kilometers from central Tokyo. This move significantly reduces travel time for passengers heading into the city, allowing them to reach downtown Tokyo in about 30 minutes.

What Air India Says
Commenting on the expansion, Nipun Aggarwal, Chief Commercial and Transformation Officer of Air India, said:

“Extending our Delhi-Tokyo Haneda service to daily flights reaffirms our commitment to providing better connectivity and enhanced services between India and Japan.”

The new daily service will also seamlessly connect travelers to Air India’s vast domestic network across major Indian cities like Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, and Pune, and to international destinations across Asia and Europe.

Strengthening Ties with ANA for Enhanced Connectivity
Air India’s move comes alongside an expanded codeshare partnership with Japan’s All Nippon Airways (ANA). This collaboration allows passengers to book a single ticket for their entire journey, with through check-in of baggage to their final destination.

Thanks to this partnership, travelers arriving in Tokyo Haneda can conveniently connect to other Japanese cities such as Fukuoka, Hiroshima, Nagoya, Okinawa, Osaka, and Sapporo.
