Ajay Bhutoria, a prominent community leader and Deputy National Finance Chair, recently attended the Democratic National Committee (DNC) Convention at Chicago’s United Center. During the event, Bhutoria personally congratulated Vice President Kamala Harris and Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff on their 10th wedding anniversary, coinciding with Harris’s historic nomination.

“Vice President Harris’s journey is the essence of the American dream,” Bhutoria remarked, highlighting her dedication to uniting the nation and fostering an opportunity-driven economy—a message that resonates strongly with the South Asian community.

At the convention, Harris formally accepted the Democratic nomination for President, reiterating her commitment to job creation, cost reduction, and building a robust opportunity economy. She emphasized the critical importance of voter outreach and organizing in battleground states during the final 76 days leading up to the election.

Bhutoria echoed her call to action, pledging to intensify efforts to mobilize South Asian and Indian American voters. “The South Asian vote will be crucial in this election,” Bhutoria stated, vowing to ensure that the community’s voice is heard loud and clear.
