Starting August 23, Akasa Air will introduce a daily direct flight between Mumbai and Kuwait City. This new route marks the airline’s fifth international destination, coinciding with Akasa Air’s second anniversary next month. The service aims to boost passenger and cargo capacity, targeting the Visiting Friends and Relatives (VFR) segment and business travel between India and Kuwait.

Akasa Air, which began operations on August 7, 2022, has rapidly expanded its network. The airline currently serves four international destinations: Doha, Jeddah, Riyadh, and Abu Dhabi, alongside 22 domestic locations. The addition of Kuwait City underscores Akasa Air’s commitment to enhancing connectivity and catering to diverse travel needs.

Belson Coutinho, co-founder and CMO & CXO of Akasa Air, expressed enthusiasm about the new route, highlighting the strong cultural ties between India and Kuwait. He emphasized the airline’s dedication to providing a comfortable and connected flying experience, noting features like more leg space, USB ports for charging, and their Quiet Flights initiative for minimal in-flight disturbances.

Akasa Air’s continuous expansion reflects its strategic growth in the aviation industry. The airline’s focus on punctuality, connectivity, and passenger comfort has positioned it as a preferred choice for travelers. As Akasa Air celebrates its second anniversary, the introduction of the Mumbai-Kuwait route demonstrates its ongoing efforts to enhance its service offerings and international presence.
