Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav criticized the BJP-led government in Uttar Pradesh during his visit to Kanpur. He mentioned that under the BJP’s rule, Kanpur has been termed as “Badnaampur.” Yadav accused the BJP of not fulfilling its promise to clean the rivers in the city.
He also raised concerns about the polluted drains in Kanpur, linking them to the BJP’s governance. Yadav highlighted the issue of kidney trafficking in the city, expressing shock at the alleged racket operating in the healthcare sector. He emphasized the exploitation of poor individuals in exchange for their kidneys.
Yadav further mocked the BJP’s governance by referencing a potential OTT show on the city’s situation. He criticized the BJP for tarnishing Kanpur’s reputation with lies and highlighted incidents of accidents and crimes in the city. Additionally, he criticized the surge in electricity bills in the state, labeling the smart meters as “victim meters.”
Referring to the upcoming Assembly elections, Yadav accused the Chief Election Commissioner of bias towards the BJP. He urged the people of West Bengal to support Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and the Trinamool Congress for the sake of democracy. Yadav expressed confidence in the Samajwadi Party’s victory in the upcoming elections in Uttar Pradesh, aiming to remove the BJP from power.
