Ambanis Attend Donald Trump’s Inauguration Events in Washington DC

Mukesh Ambani, chairman of Reliance Industries, and his wife Nita Ambani, founder of the Reliance Foundation, were among the distinguished guests attending Donald Trump’s second presidential inauguration in Washington, D.C. The couple, invited personally by the Trump family, arrived a day before the official swearing-in ceremony, scheduled for January 20, 2025.

This special invitation placed the Ambanis at the heart of the inaugural events, alongside prominent global business leaders and political figures. Despite weather challenges, the inauguration ceremony will be held indoors, but the Ambanis’ presence marks their continued support for the Trump administration and their personal connection to the Trump family.

The Ambanis participated in several pre-inaugural events, including an exclusive “candlelight dinner” where they met industry leaders and shared moments with Trump. On social media, Reliance Industries posted photos of the couple with Trump, where they extended their congratulations and spoke of the potential for enhanced India-US relations under Trump’s leadership. The Ambanis expressed hope for transformative progress between the two nations.

This isn’t the first time the Ambanis and Trump’s paths have crossed. Mukesh Ambani was present during Ivanka Trump’s visit to India for the Global Entrepreneurship Summit in 2017, and also during Trump’s visit to India in 2020. Their ties have grown stronger over the years, with the Ambanis also hosting Trump family members during grand pre-wedding celebrations in 2024.

Additionally, Kalpesh Mehta, an Indian real estate partner of the Trump Organization, was also present at the inauguration. Mehta, who has worked with Trump’s business ventures in India, shared glimpses of his interactions with the Ambanis and other key figures in the Trump circle.

These high-profile gatherings underline the strategic and personal bonds between the Ambanis and the Trump family, symbolizing the growing influence of Indian entrepreneurs in global politics and their role in strengthening India-US relations.
