Actress Ameesha Patel and director Siddharth Anand responded strongly to comedian Zakir Khan’s comments about individuals in the film industry who are not happy with the success of ‘Dhurandhar’. Patel expressed her disagreement with Khan’s negativity, highlighting the industry’s appreciation for ‘Dhurandhar’ and the success of superstars like SRK, Salman, Sunny, Hrithik, and Ajay. Siddharth Anand also criticized the joke, emphasizing the significant contributions of individuals from Juhu and Bandra to the industry’s all-time blockbusters over the past 50 years.

The recent awards show, where Zakir Khan made the controversial remarks, has faced scrutiny for various contentious statements made by the hosts. Another host at the event made a disparaging comment about actor Rajpal Yadav’s financial issues, referencing a cheque bounce case for which Yadav was convicted by the Delhi High Court. Despite several opportunities given to Yadav to repay the loan, he failed to comply, leading to legal consequences.

The awards ceremony’s hosts’ remarks have sparked mixed reactions within the industry, with some finding humor in the comments while others expressing discontent over the tone and content of the jokes.
