The cut for the tournament was set at one-over 141, allowing fifty-six professionals to progress to the money rounds. Jhared Hack, based in Las Vegas, showcased exceptional play on the back nine, securing five birdies including an eagle lip-out and a 15-foot conversion. Despite feeling under the weather during the front-nine, Hack remained focused and closed the round strongly with birdies on the eighth and ninth holes.
Reflecting on his performance, Hack mentioned his strategic approach off the tee and emphasized the importance of creating birdie opportunities in a challenging course filled with trees. Honey Baisoya, on the other hand, demonstrated resilience by recovering from setbacks with consecutive birdies after facing bogeys on the 14th and 15th holes.
Amandeep Johl, CEO of PGTI, highlighted the significance of the cut day as a test of players’ readiness for professional golf at the highest level. He emphasized the importance of consistency, patience, and the ability to handle pressure, essential skills for success on international tours. The DP World Players Championship at Qutub Golf Course provides a platform for Indian professionals to hone their skills and prepare for global competition.
