Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah will speak at several election rallies in West Bengal on Saturday as part of the BJP’s campaign for the upcoming Assembly elections. Shah’s campaign will kick off with a public meeting in the Onda Assembly constituency at 11:00 a.m. in Chhatna, Bankura district.
Following the first rally, Shah will address a second public gathering in the Chhatna Assembly constituency at 12:30 p.m. in Ethani Jhantipahari, also located in Bankura. Later in the day, he will head to Purulia district to hold a third rally at 2:00 p.m. in the Baghmundi Assembly constituency at Kushaldih Cricket Ground.
These rallies are part of the BJP’s strategy to connect with voters in key constituencies across West Bengal. Shah had recently unveiled the party’s manifesto, ‘Sankalp Patra,’ promising to implement the 7th Pay Commission and Uniform Civil Code within six months of assuming power in the state.
The manifesto release event saw Shah emphasizing the public’s desire for change and the BJP’s role as a constructive opposition in West Bengal. He pledged a zero-tolerance policy against infiltration and assured the implementation of the Uniform Civil Code and benefits like dearness allowance and the 7th Pay Commission for government employees under a BJP-led government. Additionally, the BJP promised financial support for women and a 33% quota for women in government jobs, including the police force.
