Megastar Amitabh Bachchan honored his late mother Teji Bachchan on the 18th anniversary of her passing. Amitabh shared a photo of his mother on his blog, dedicating the day to her memory. He expressed his feelings, stating, “Dedicated to Maa’s memory — today. Dec 21. There are no words left to say, only prayers.” Teji Bachchan, who married Harivansh Rai Bachchan in 1941, was a homemaker with a passion for the stage and singing. She passed away at the age of 93 on December 21, 2007, after a prolonged illness. Amitabh also mentioned the postponement of his grandson Agastya Nanda’s film “Ikkis,” which will now release on January 1.
Directed by Sriram Raghavan, “Ikkis” is a war drama based on Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal’s life during the 1971 India–Pakistan War. The film also features Jaideep Ahlawat and Simar Bhatia. Agastya Nanda made his acting debut in Zoya Akhtar’s “The Archies,” a live-action adaptation of the fictional rock band from the 1960s animated cartoon, The Archie Show. Amitabh Bachchan is currently hosting the latest season of Kaun Banega Crorepati, the Hindi version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, where contestants answer multiple-choice questions to win prizes.
