Anant Ambani, the youngest son of billionaire Mukesh Ambani, has been appointed as the Executive Director of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) for a five-year term, effective May 1, 2025. This strategic move marks a significant step in the succession planning of India’s largest conglomerate.​

A Visionary Leader for a New Era
Anant Ambani has been actively involved in various capacities within Reliance Industries over the years. He has served as a director on the boards of key Reliance entities, including Jio Platforms Limited since March 2020, Reliance New Energy Limited and Reliance New Solar Energy Limited since June 2021, Reliance Retail Ventures Limited since May 2022, and Reliance Foundation since September 2022. In 2023, he was appointed as a full-time director at Reliance Industries Limited. ​

Anant Ambani’s leadership extends beyond corporate governance. He is the visionary behind Vantara, a 3,000-acre animal rescue and rehabilitation center in Jamnagar, Gujarat. Inaugurated in March 2025 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Vantara focuses on the rescue, treatment, and rehabilitation of injured and endangered animals.
