Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu expressed confidence in the future of quantum computing, announcing plans to produce quantum computers at Amaravati Quantum Valley within two years. The state’s goal is to self-manufacture all essential components, including quantum devices and algorithms, to avoid reliance on imports. Collaborating with IBM, TCS, and L&T, the government is establishing AQV to promote Quantum Technology in Amaravati.
Embracing the National Quantum Mission objectives, the Chief Minister emphasized the importance of AQV in transforming Amaravati into a futuristic and sustainable city. The initiative aims to drive the nation’s technological advancement and overall progress. National Quantum Mission Director Dr. J.V.B. Reddy praised the state’s efforts, highlighting the ongoing training programs and partnerships with leading organizations to advance quantum technology.
Dr. Reddy assured full support from the National Quantum Mission for Andhra Pradesh’s endeavors, acknowledging the state’s potential to become a prominent quantum hub. The Amaravati Quantum Valley is set to host quantum computer testing soon, with the participation of various companies and startups. The mission’s goal is to position AQV among the top global quantum hubs by 2030, with plans for an Innovation Centre and infrastructure development underway.
