Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu honored the founder of the Rural Development Trust (RDT), Father Vicente Ferrer Moncho, on his birth anniversary. Naidu praised Father Ferrer’s humanitarian efforts that benefited 2.5 million disadvantaged individuals in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
Naidu encouraged people to emulate Father Vicente’s dedication, highlighting his impactful work in the Rayalaseema region. Minister for Human Resource Development Nara Lokesh also lauded Father Vicente Ferrer, describing him as a divine blessing for the underprivileged.
Lokesh acknowledged Father Ferrer’s contributions to society, emphasizing his establishment of essential facilities like hospitals, schools, and housing for the needy. The renewal of FCRA permission for the RDT was recently secured, ensuring the continuity of its services in various sectors.
Former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy welcomed the FCRA renewal, expressing gratitude to the central government. Reddy credited public pressure for the renewal, criticizing Naidu for attempting to take credit for the delayed permissions. He emphasized that the restoration was a result of collective efforts and not solely the government’s initiative.
