Annabel Sutherland has reclaimed the No.1 position in the T20I bowling rankings after India’s win over Sri Lanka. Sutherland, the Australian bowler, now shares the top spot with Deepti Sharma at a rating of 736. This shift occurred following India’s 15-run victory in the final T20I match.
India’s Deepti Sharma, who previously held the top spot, dropped to second place tied with Sutherland. Despite her performance of 1/28, Deepti Sharma couldn’t maintain her lead in the rankings. Additionally, she remains third in the ICC Women’s T20I All-Rounder Rankings with 382 points.
India’s Harmanpreet Kaur climbed two places to 13th in the ICC Women’s T20I Batting Rankings. Kaur’s rise in the rankings was fueled by her match-winning innings of 68 off 43 balls in the final T20I match at Thiruvananthapuram. This performance earned her the Player of the Match award and brought her closer to the top 10.
Amanjot Kaur, from India, moved up seven places to joint 78th in the rankings. Sri Lanka’s Hasini Perera and Imesha Dulani also made significant progress after scoring half-centuries. Perera jumped 31 spots to 40th, while Dulani climbed 77 places to 84th. These advancements were crucial in stabilizing Sri Lanka’s innings after the early dismissal of Chamari Athapaththu.
In the bowling rankings, India’s Shree Charani rose five places to 47th, Sri Lanka’s Kavisha Dilhari moved up to 32nd, and Chamari Athapaththu climbed three places to 48th. Furthermore, India’s Arundhati Reddy’s impressive performance, scoring 27 not out from 11 balls and taking a wicket, led to a 21-place jump to 44th in the bowling rankings.
